Executive Director to address the South Asia Development seminar in Hong Kong

The 1st International Seminar on South Asia Development, organized by Xinhua News Agency Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau, will take place in Hong Kong on June 9. The Executive Director, Mustafa Sayed, will address the seminar on behalf of the Pakistan-China Institute (PCI).

The aim of this seminar is to initiate discourse, critical reflection and analysis about the political, social and economic development across the region.A special focus shall be on the post-2014 reconstruction and peace process in Afghanistan and the opportunities and challenges it presents for the region. Additionally, the emphasis will also be on the cooperation between China and South Asian nations.

The seminar is expected to bring together government officials, academics and experts,and engender academic and personal encounters and exchanges across national, religious and cultural divides.
