Islamabad, May 04: Chinese supported Jinnah Solar Power Plant of Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur will start power generation process on Tuesday, according to officials sources..
Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate the project at a ceremony in Bahawalpur.
According to news reports, the total capacity of the park will be one thousand megawatt after its completion in two years.
The first unit having a capacity of one hundred megawatts energy generation has already been completed and it will be connected to the national grid on Tuesday.
Punjab government has set up a solar power plant of 100 megawatt in Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park . Experts believe that the project is symbol of Sino-Pak exemplary friendship and joint ventures between Pakistan and China would benefit both countries.
