China's Tsinghua University Scholar Prof. Li Xiguang visits PCI

Prominent Chinese intellectual, writer, journalist and scholar, Professor Li Xiguang, Director of the Pakistan Study Centre for Culture and Communication of the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing, visited PCI. He was accompanied by his team of scholars and researchers.
Professor Li Xiguang, an old friend of Pakistan, was warmly received by the Chairman PCI, Senator Mushahid Hussain, who lauded Prof Li Xiguang's contributions in promoting friendship with Pakistan and also his landmark initiative to develop an Information Corridor to inform Chinese audiences about developments between the two countries.
Senator Mushahid Hussain also extolled Professor Li Xiguang as an 'innovative and independent thinker, who was the first to talk about the Chinese Dream, even writing a book on what is now a popular concept globally'.
The two sides agreed to sign an MOU to enhance cooperation amongst their institutions, which will be yet another manifestation of Pakistan-China cooperation on 'soft power'.
