Mushahid Hussain says 'I have a romance with China' : Mushahid Hussain Sayed
Beijing, July 2: Pakistan and China have enjoyed a warm friendship since the last 65-years of years and bilateral ties have been reinforced through China's Belt and Road Initiative. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Secretary-General of the Pakistan Muslim League, has dubbed his long relationship with China as a romance. He says ‘I have a romance with China I have witnessed the robust transformations of China over the past decades”.
Mushahid expressed these views in a short video documentary about rising China which he has seen during his 60 trips to China in the last few decades. The video documentary was broadcast on China’s CCTV.
Senator Mushahid Hussain is also Chairman of Pakistani Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a strategic project of China’s One Road One Belt initiative. Earlier felicitating the Chinese leadership and people on eve of 95th anniversary of foundation of Communist Party of China (CPC), Mushahid said, it was world’s the oldest and the biggest political party, having leading role for transforming lives of Chinese people, besides ensuring peace, prosperity of China and beyond the region.
He said, under the vision of Deng Xiaoping, a Chinese revolutionary and statesman in 1980, China emerged as a different developing country and as a result of his reforms; there was transformation of policies for good governance and prosperity for the people.
“We should learn lessons from the experience of Chinese model to make Pakistan an economically and technologically developed country,” he said.
Communist Party of China (CPC), with 88 million members, celebrated its 95th anniversary on July 1, 2016.
